ANTIQUE FRENCH EMPIRE CUT CRYSTAL BOX CAMEO SIGNED ANDRIEU - An early 19th-century French Empire cut crystal casket box featuring heavy diamond and fluted cut facet detailing, a starburst base, and engine-turned gilt-metal mounts with a hinged lid and latch mechanism. Embedded within the center of the lid is an oval sulphide medallion (cristallo-céramie) depicting a classical profile portrait of a laureate figure, signed along the neck truncation ”ANDRIEU” for Bertrand Andrieu (French, 1761–1822).
