ANTIQUE RUSSIAN SILVER NIELLO SPOON KHLEBNIKOV 1888 - An impressive antique Imperial Russian 84 standard silver-gilt and niello serving spoon by the prominent court jeweler Khlebnikov, crafted in Moscow in 1888. The reverse of the large oval bowl features a meticulously detailed niello architectural view of Moscow's historic Sukharev Tower, an iconic late 17th-century landmark, framed by a polished gilt border. The spoon is designed with a distinctive spiral-twist handle that terminates in a tiered ball finial.
