FINE 19TH CENTURY GERMAN KPM PORCELAIN PLAQUE - This exquisite 19th-century German KPM porcelain plaque presents a masterful reproduction of Raphael’s ”Madonna della Sedia.” The oval plaque captures the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child with a young Saint John the Baptist in a tender, circular composition, rendered with the exceptional fine-line detail and soft color transitions characteristic of the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur. The reverse of the plaque bears the impressed KPM scepter mark and ”S” alongside numerical inscriptions, housed within a lavishly carved and gilded Rococo-style openwork frame featuring floral corner sprays and a textured gold slip.
