PAIR OF ANTIQUE EUROPEAN BAROQUE KNEELING ANGELS - A pair of antique European carved wood figures of kneeling angels, each shown in adoration pose with wings raised, mounted on later rectangular wood plinths. Dated late 17th century, Baroque style. The surface retains traces of an original polychrome and gesso ground, now substantially worn, with losses revealing bare wood and gesso beneath a silvered surface layer in an aged, distressed finish.
