Executed in egg tempera, gesso, and gold, the composition features the Virgin Mary in the traditional orans pose with her arms raised in prayer, centering the Emmanuel Christ Child within a circular medallion on her chest. The central figures are flanked by Saint Martha and the Apostle Matthew on the margins, all detailed with expressive facial features, rich earth-toned vestments, and bright gilded halos.
