UKRAINIAN AMERICAN DAVID BURLIUK 5 FLORIDA OIL PAINTINGS - A collection of five miniature paintings by Ukrainian-American artist David Burliuk (1882–1967), executed in oil on Fredrix commercial canvas panels. The suite features vibrant, impasto-rich depictions of ”Florida water landscapes, ” including coastal scenes, palm trees, islands, and a waterside gazebo. The fronts are signed in various locations, with some bearing the full surname ”Burliuk” and others initialed ”D.B.” The reverse of each panel features handwritten annotations detailing titles such as ”Florida Island, ” ”Lake Florida, ” and ”Stirrup, ” along with the artist's name and the date 1956. Original retail stickers and printed text are also present on the versos. Two panels measure 3 by 5 inches, and three measure 4 by 5 inches. The lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the David Burliuk International Foundation (DBIF), dated July 25, 2024, confirming their authenticity.
