RUSSIAN-AMERICAN SASHA MOLDOVAN OIL PEASANTS PAINTING - An original oil on canvas laid on panel by Russian-American artist Sasha (Sacha) Moldovan (1901–1982), titled ”Peasants.” The composition features two figures rendered in the artist's signature Expressionist style, utilizing a dark, moody palette and extremely heavy impasto applied with vigorous, textured brushwork. The painting is prominently signed ”Moldovan” in thick pigment across the verso. The reverse also features extensive documentation, including a typed descriptive label noting the title and dimensions (10 x 6 inches), a biographical profile, a ”Khodorkovsky art collection usa” provenance sticker, and a printed tag from the Hillel Centennial Exhibition (Ohio State University, 2026).
