A RARE CENTRAL ASIAN KARD DAGGER - The grips elaborately studded overall, with silver tangband, with fine and actively-patterned Persian black wootz damascus steel blade. The velvet-covered wooden scabbard with large, engraved silver mounts, the chape set with a carnelian stone. Retains its fine woven Uzbek silk embroidered suspension band with rare beadwork, woven tassels intact. Mid-19th century. Minor wear. Overall length of dagger 27cm./ 10 5/8 inches. Condition III
