A DAYAK HEADHUNTER PARANG IHLANG OR MANDAU SWORD - A well above average example. The grip of ironwood, finely-carved with aso motifs and retaining its intricately-woven wrap and hair ornaments. The handforged blade with expanded tip chisel-edged and convex on the reverse. In its carved wooden scabbard with hair ornaments, retains its rare pisau raut knife with carved antler mounts.
