The steel pommel of expanded form with fluted decoration, the grip with twisted wire wrap, the recurved guard with integral guard and profiled quillons. The long, well-balanced blade of lenticular section tapering to the obtuse tip. 19th century or earlier. Areas of rusting, some movement to pommel. Overall length 109cm./ 43 inches. Condition III
