A MORION HELMET OF THE MUNICH TOWN GUARD - Of characteristic “black and white” type, wrought in two halves with embossed fleur de lis to either side, polished bright, the remainder with original black finish and set with gilt rosettes along the base. The broad, upturned brim with rolled, roped edge. Mid-17th century. Worn overall, two rosettes replaced in period. Overall height 27.5cm. Condition III
