A RARE EUEOPEAN ARMOR ELEMENT VISOR - Part of a high quality Savoyard close helmet, finely wrought in steel with elongated upper edge and broad bill, the upper section fluted, with brass studs and cusped terminals. The bill with roped edge, studded en suite. Originally fitted with an adjustable nasal, now lacking. First half of the 17th century. Well worn overall. Overall height 16cm. Condition III
