A RARE JAPANESE CONCEALED ARMOR - Known as Kusari Katabira, very rarely encountered. Edo-era samurai mail armor, the mail concealed within a woven coat with half sleeves and a deep hood. Providing excellent, portable and concealable protection for a swordsman. Latter 17th century. Minor areas of wear. Overall length of coat from nape to hem 86.5cm.
