A RARE INDIAN KATAR DAGGER - Wrought entirely in steel, with balustered grips and rails with rounded terminals, wrought entirely of intricately patterned wootz. The blade with high central ridge and robust armor-piercing tip. In its steel scabbard finely pierced with birds amongst foliage, retains its fabric- covered wooden core. Late 18th century. Worn. Overall length 42cm. Condition III
