A RARE TIBETAN HELMET - The skull formed of eight cusped and riveted steel plates, mounted with a stepped and flanged steel finial. Retains its browband and neckguard of numerous rectangular lamellar plates with rounded terminals, with much original deerskin lacing. 16th - 17th century. Worn, one plate and areas of lacing replaced. Overall height 39cm. Condition III
