Georgian Knife Box - Fine antique mahogany knife box featuring a serpentine front and slant-top lid. Georgian dating to late 19th / early 20th C with neoclassical imagery including winged cherubs (putti) on top of lid as well as hanging bellflower or similar garlands on front of box's exterior. Original slotted cutlery insert replaced with a lined green felt open interior. Retains original brass escutcheons and rear hinges. Note no key included, hairline separations, some mild warping of interior liner and some finish loss visible on interior of lid. Overall good condition. Measures approx. 8.5” L x 10.5” D x 14.5” H.
