19th C Chinese Famille Noire Lotus & Ducks Vase - Antique Chinese Famille Noire porcelain vase dating to late 19th century of Qing Dynasty. Decorated with detailed lotus pond scene. Vessel has baluster-type silhouette, flared rim and short footed base. Exterior body features glossy, mirror-black glaze with traditional polychrome enamels. Scene shows auspicious pond with waterfowl/mandarin ducks, butterflies, leaves and reeds with sunset cloud scroll motif. Interior coated in contrasting white glaze. Glazed bottom displays gallery inventory sticker from Chamberlain Antiques, an internationally acclaimed specialist and expert firm in the field of Asian fine arts and Asian antiques. Very good condition. Minor inherent glaze skips and faint firing irregularities consistent with 19th-century handcrafted production methods. Minor shelf wear on unglazed foot ring.
