Chinese Famille Noire Tianqiuping Vase w/ Dragons - Highly decorative Chinese Famille Noire porcelain ”Tianqiuping” (Heavenly Globe) vase, dating to late 19th or early 20th century (late Qing Dynasty). Crafted in the sought-after Kangxi revival style, showcasing vibrant polychrome enameling set against glossy black ground. Tianqiuping shape, which symbolizes heaven in Chinese cosmology, characterized by its large, robust globular body that transitions into tall cylindrical neck. Enameling depicts five-clawed Imperial dragons weave through ruyi-form clouds and flaming pearls above ocean waves on lower base. Famille noire (black-ground finish) displays clamshell iridescence (oil-slick luster). Interior is white-glazed. Underside marked with crisp underglaze blue double ring. Very good condition.
