Chinese Blue White Guan Jar, Maghenzani Provenance - Chinese blue and white porcelain globular jar (guan), Transition Period style (17th century), with Maghenzani Milano provenance. Ovoid vessel's main body decorated in vibrant deep cobalt blue glaze with continuous, panoramic landscape depicting gathering of scholars amidst rocky outcrops, swirling clouds, water and trees. Short neck accented with scrolling clouds, and and shoulder features scrolling foliage band. Blue double ring around lower body. Unglazed, wide flat base retains historic and highly desirable 20th-century dealer label from the prestigious luxury gallery, Maghenzani Milano that was located at 10 Monte Napoleone, an upscale shopping street in Milan, Italy, known as ”the most expensive street in the world.” This sticker indicates the piece's distinguished European provenance. Appears to be high-quality revival piece made during late Qing Dynasty, circa 1880-1920, executed in 17th century artistic styling. Very good condition. Minor fritting, some chips/cracks to upper rim, although this does not hinder its structural integrity. Light scuffing, minor firing imperfections on surface. Paper provenance sticker shows oxidation and minor peeling, a testament to its authenticity. Measures approx. 7”Lx7”Wx7.5”H.
