Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Tripod Incense Burner - Chinese cloisonne enamel and gilt-bronze tripod incense burner (”censer”) complete with its original domed cover. Vessel features classic globular body decorated in vibrant, multi-colored enamels against a turquoise-blue. Exterior wire-decorated with archaistic ”Taotie” monster masks, scrolling clouds and geometric fretwork. Angled loop handles feature matching enamel design and gilded borders. Cover crowned by ornate gilt-bronze filigree bud-form finial. Censer sits on three out-turned tripod legs with high-relief gilded beast masks. Underside of base has gilt finish with a cast relief medallion depicting an Imperial coiled dragon. Very good condition. Minor fading of gilt, scuffs. Measures approx. 8.25”Lx6”Wx9”H.
