Chinese Blue & White Double Happiness Jar Lamp - Chinese blue and white porcelain ginger jar lamp with lid lamp conversion. Features traditional ”Shuangxi” (Double Happiness) Chinese character, representing marriage, harmony and good fortune. Decorated in cobalt blue underglaze with sweet pea vine scrolls and geometric borders. Jar base includes matching porcelain lid, professionally drilled to accommodate the central brass lamp harp mount. Fitted onto dark-stained carved wooden display base. Wiring with standard brown cord and two-prong plug. Not tested. Good condition. Some loss to wooden base, but still functional. Minor dings, scratches on surface, light staining to unglazed upper rim of jar/lamp body. Measures approx. 7”Lx7”Wx21”H. From the collection of Carol and George Thomassy, Hanover, Pa.
