Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Teapot Foo Dog Lid - Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain miniature teapot with foo dog lid. Circa Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period (1662-1722). Barrel-form teapot features gently curved spout and elegant loop handle. Matching flat cover lid is decorated with scrollwork motifs and topped with a sculpted Buddhistic Lion (Foo Dog) form finial in blue. Body painted in vibrant cobalt blue, showcasing panels of traditional ”Precious Objects” (”Bogu”), like censers, scrolls, scholarly antiquities. Top and bottom of body lined with textured dots. Very good condition. Minor indents on interior backside of lid, light staining in interior consistent with age, use. Minor scuffs on base, light surfacewear. Measures approx. 7.5”Lx4.25”Wx4.5”H.
