Crafted using ”cut silk” weave technique, often referred to as ”woven gold, ” the design is integrated into the warp and weft of the textile. Features vibrant, golden-mustard colored silk ground with arrangement of circular auspicious medallions. Palette of sky blues, creams and orange-gold tones. Features classic Chinese iconography: peonies and lotus blossoms (symbolizing wealth, honor and spiritual purity) and butterflies (symbolizing joy, longevity and happy marriage). Geometric border with gilt/metallic gold thread showcasing interlocking Sayagata (T-fret/wanzi) pattern, which symbolizes prosperity and good fortune. Good condition.
