19th C Jacquard Woven Paisley Large Textile - Well-preserved 19th century Jacquard loomed/woven paisley textile. Large-scale rectangular textile features dense pattern of fine teardrop boteh motifs and interlocking scrollwork. Color scheme of brick-red, crimson, navy and ochre gold. This is a true loom-woven textile where design is integrated into the physical structure of the fabric, not printed or stamped on the surface. Textile features tailored, straight-cut bound edges. Functions as wide wall-hanging tapestry, decorative display, sofa throw, bedspread, etc. Exact origin unknown, but its high-quality and the styling/techniques used aligns with that of historic French or Scottish textile mills. Very good condition. Slight edge warping, as is normal for antique loomed fabrics. Measures approx. 92.5”L x 56.5”W.
