Gold Giltwood & Gesso 3-Panel Over-Mantle Mirror - Vintage triptych/three-paneled wall mirror, also known as over-mantle or buffet mirror. Horizontal orientation. Designed in a classical revival style. Wooden structure features ornate gold gilt finish with gesso gold leaf, floral garland and ribbon and bow motif accents on frame corners and baluster columns. Triple panel layout divided by thin golden colored vertical dividers. Mirrors create wide panorama effect that reflects light across a large room. Date estimated as 20th century. Mirrors appear to be replacements from original. Good structural and cosmetic condition. Some chipping on giltwood, but still beautiful piece. Measures approx. 58”Lx13”Wx1.5”H.
