1940s Japanese Painted Dolls (2) - Two Japanese baby dolls in traditional dress and with original wooden boxes. Translation of one box label indicates the maker is 'Awaduguchi Kiyonobu'. Each doll has a tape around their belly with name and date. Hisaka Dec. 1949 and Zuki 1946. Each approx 7-8” L. Some loss to toes and fingers. The appear to be painted wood. Condition: Absence of a condition statement does not imply the lot is in perfect condition, free from flaws, restoration, or the effects of aging/use.
