African Congo Carved Ritual Masks + Makonde - Collection of African carved wood masks for religious / ritualistic purposes, mostly from people of the Democratic republic of the Congo. Grouping includes a Bakongo Phemba mask, a Bembe Alunga mask, another Bembe mask, a Lega mask, a narrow tribal mask, & what could be a Makonde ”Tree of Life” figural carving from Tanzania. Large Lega mask measures approx. 18” long, 11.5” wide, & 5.5” deep. Condition: Absence of a condition statement does not imply the lot is in perfect condition, free from flaws, restoration, or the effects of aging.
