Early Chalk Shishi Foo Dog Statue Pair - Pair of painted chalk / plaster shishi foo dogs on brass bases. These foo dogs are represented traditionally w/ a female holding a cub & a male holding a ball signifying a manifestation of yin & yang. Pair are mid-century modern & appear to have been lamps at one time. They measure approx 13” tall & 5.5” x 5” at base.
