Silver Plated Meriden B. Company Pitcher & Stand - Antique Meriden B. Company silver plated water pitcher & stand w/ various accents & markings. Pitcher is inscribed w/ ”To our Captain from his Military and Civil friends”. Above the inscription is a figural captain head. The body has a variety of floral, dragonfly, & butterfly motifs. The sides w/ the pieces to rest on the stand are dented inward, especially on the right side. Piece is marked on bottom. The stand has more botanical accents & comes w/ a shell-shaped basin w/ a cherub on it. Cherub has a broken arm holding a staff. There is another broken piece that connects between the two sides of the stand above the basin. Condition is as found. Pitcher is approx.13.75” tall & 12.25” from handle to spout.
