Chinese Embroidery w/ Rosewood Frame, MOP - A Chinese silk embroidery in a rosewood frame. Rosewood frame has mother of pearl inlay with some loss. Embroidery is grey/white and depicts a bird on branch. Textile itself is in good condition, some discoloration on the rough outside edge. Inner dimensions measures approx. 25” x 56”, O.D approx. 29.25” x 60”. Depth of frame is approx. 1.5”. Some loss of fabric at bottom and detatchement from backer board. Two sets of asian characters are on the top and bottom of piece. Not secured in frame.
