Patrick Hume is also known as Sir Patrick Hume, 2nd Baronet from 1648 to 1690 and as Lord Polwarth from 1690 to 1697. The Painting measures approximately 32.5” x 38.5” OD. The painting is mounted in a antique frame however the age of the painting is unknown. Painting is from the estate Benjamin Franklin Hammond, PhD. Dr. Hammond was ”an emeritus professor of microbiology in University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine and the school’s former associate dean of academic affairs” (source: University of Pennsylvania's Almanac).
