19th C Ephraim Downes / George Mitchell Clock
19th Century pillar and scroll shelf clock by the American clockmaker Ephraim Downes for George Mitchell of Bristol Connecticut. This clock measures approx 31.5" H x 16.5" W x 4.5" D with brass finials on the pillars. Reverse painted image of a country scene in good condition, possibly restored. Has pendulum and key, along with 2 weights and finials. The back has shrinkage, scrolls have some restoration and loss, face of the clock has some crazing. Retains original label on interior. Condition is as seen in photography.
