Arts & Crafts Oak Drop Leaf Table - 34 x 24 x 28 inches. An Arts and Crafts or Mission style occasional table constructed from solid oak with a dark-stained finish. The rectangular top is of plank construction and features prominent medullary rays (tiger oak) graining. A single drop leaf is attached to one side by three metal hinges and is supported by a wooden swing-out gate-leg bracket when extended. The base consists of four square straight legs joined by a lower H-stretcher and a wide central vertical splat support on each end. The piece utilizes exposed joinery techniques typical of early 20th-century American Mission furniture. No other manufacturer labels, stamps, or signatures are visible on the frame or underside.
