Scale Models Horse Spreader w/ Box - A large scale model of a horse-drawn manure spreader, constructed from cast metal. The wagon features a red-painted body and green-painted chassis, wheels, and spreading mechanism. The front axle is steerable and the unit includes a long green-painted tongue. The rear spreading mechanism contains rotating cylinders with tines. Printed on the left side of the wagon body is the phrase THE NEW IDEA in yellow. The right side features silver-colored text reading 90 YEARS OF NEW IDEAS 1899-1989. The chassis and body are separate pieces that fit together. A small lead-style seal on a wire is attached to the rear of the wagon body, though the characters on it are not clearly legible. The item includes a plain brown corrugated cardboard shipping box. The side of the box is printed in black ink with STOCK NO. 1900, 1 UNIT, SCALE MODELS, DYERSVILLE, IOWA 52040, and MADE IN U.S.A.
