Bidspirit auction | McCormick-Deering Grain Binder Model W/

McCormick-Deering Grain Binder Model W/ Horses - A handcrafted scale model of a horse-drawn grain binder, featuring a four-horse team. The agricultural machine is primarily constructed from painted sheet metal and wire, while the four horses are made of molded plastic. The model is presented on a custom T-shaped wood display base finished with a dark stain. The grain binder features several moving mechanical components including a rotating reel with ivory-colored slats, a sickle bar cutter, and a canvas conveyor belt reinforced with wooden slats. A white thread is integrated into the reel assembly. The horses are detailed with black fabric harnesses and are attached to a red-painted hitch and tongue assembly. The housing of the grain elevator features an adhesive decal that includes the circular IHC logo and the printed text McCormick-Deering. An additional decal on the rear side panel also bears the McCormick-Deering name. The model is currently secured to its display base with black plastic zip ties around the wheels and frame.
