Bidspirit auction | American Spider Web Pattern Quilt

American Spider Web Pattern Quilt - 67 x 79 in. An American scrap quilt featuring a variation of the String or Spider Web pattern. The quilt top is hand-pieced from a diverse array of mid-to-late 20th-century fabrics including calico prints, ginghams, solids, plaids, and purple eyelet lace. A distinctive mod-style geometric pattern in blue and green is used for vertical dividers. The radiating strips in each block form an octagonal or circular shape, which are set into a grid using solid-colored four-point star or cross blocks in brown and black.
