Bidspirit auction | Antique Hand-Hewn Wooden Hay Fork

Antique Hand-Hewn Wooden Hay Fork - 60 x 16 in. An antique primitive agricultural hay fork constructed entirely of hewn hardwood, featuring four hand-tapered curved tines. The tines are joined through mortises in a rectangular crossbar and secured with wedged through-tenons along the top. The long carved wood haft is joined to the center of the crossbar and secured by an iron fastener with an irregular, hand-forged square nut. The entire wooden surface shows hand tool marks and an unvarnished natural patina from agricultural use.
