The front face is decorated with a high-relief Trophy of Arms motif, centered on a pair of crossed American flags with stars and stripes. The composition includes a field carriage cannon, a mortar on a bed, stacks of cannonballs, a bugle, and crossed muskets above a pair of crossed pistols.
