Shanesville Antique Metal Pail w/ Wood Handle - 8 x 10 in. This antique utilitarian pail is constructed from galvanized sheet metal, featuring a tapered body joined by a single vertical side seam. Two horizontal swage lines provide structural reinforcement around the middle of the vessel. The bucket is equipped with a wire bail handle attached via two riveted metal ears at the rim. The bail features a centrally located, decoratively turned wooden grip with a double-coved design. 1890s Shanesville bucket.
