1904 Cast Iron Sea Creature Embosser - 8 in. Tall; hand extended. An desktop document hand press or embosser featuring a highly decorative cast iron body and an ornate S-curved scroll lever handle. The main housing is cast in the form of a mythical sea creature or dragon, detailed with scales, a large eye, and open jaws that frame the plunger mechanism. The base is flared and includes two integrated holes for mounting to a work surface. The press is finished in black japanning with raised elements showing through in the casting.
