Set Cast Iron Woodworking Planes - A collection of eleven vintage handheld woodworking block planes, including full-sized and miniature hobbyist types. The assortment consists of two larger block planes, three intermediate models, and six small-scale thumb or model maker planes. Each tool features a cast iron body with a steel cutter and adjustable cap iron. The two largest planes in the rear are equipped with front knobs and lever caps; one features a black finish and the other a red-painted lever cap. The intermediate group includes one plane with a slender vertical knob and another with a textured japanned finish. The smaller group comprises varied miniature designs, including a unit with a red-painted cap and several with simple screw-down adjustment mechanisms. One tool in the rear row bears a stamped mark on the cutter that reads USA in capital letters.
