Bidspirit auction | Griswold Cast Iron Chicken Fryer

Griswold Cast Iron Chicken Fryer - A cast iron chicken fryer featuring a deep circular body with vertical sides and a helper handle opposite the primary handle. The pan includes two integrated pouring spouts and a teardrop-shaped hanging hole. An incised circular logo on the base reads GRISWOLD in all capital letters. Below the logo, additional incised text reads 10 1/2 INCH CHICKEN FRYER, followed by MADE IN USA, and a single letter C near the bottom rim. The upper surface of the handle, where it joins the pan body, bears an impressed numeral 8. The interior cooking surface shows evidence of seasoning and previous use. The presence of the country-of-origin mark indicates production in the United States, specifically following the acquisition of the brand in the post-1960 era.
