Miner Sunshine Oil Wick Lamp - Height: 2 inches (to the top of the reservoir lid) Spout Length: 1.75 inches. This is a miner sunshine oil wick cap lamp, constructed from tin or steel with visible solder seams. The lamp features a cylindrical oil reservoir, a hinged lid, a protruding wick spout, and a curved mounting hook designed for attachment to a miner's soft cap. A thick, multi-strand cotton wick is currently seated in the spout. The front of the reservoir body features three lines of embossed text; however, the characters are heavily obscured by a dark patina and wear. The top line contains the characters F and E, while the bottom line includes the word MAKERS. The middle line is not legible as a name or location. The reservoir lid is attached via a simple hinge, and a small vent hole is present in the center of the lid.
