Folk Art Faux Painted Wood Slide Box - 10.5 x 4 x 5 inches. A decorative wooden slide top box featuring a folk art aesthetic. The rectangular box and lid are decorated with a dark-stained, tiger-striped faux grain finish over a light-colored wood body. The lid is surmounted by a hand-carved and polychrome-painted animal head finial, modeled with upward-pointing ears, glass or painted eyes, and a dark muzzle. The lid slides into a grooved track at the top of the box. The interior of the box and the underside of the lid reveal the natural light wood grain. An illegible impressed circular mark is located on the underside of the sliding lid.
