Bidspirit auction | 1884-O US Morgan Silver Dollar
1884-O US Morgan Silver Dollar MS 63 - A 1884-O US Morgan silver dollar composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The coin is sealed in a Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) plastic holder, often referred to by collectors as a fatty slab due to its thickness. The obverse features the Liberty Head design, and the reverse displays a heraldic eagle within a wreath. A small O mint mark is located on the reverse above the letters DO in DOLLAR, identifying the coin as a product of the New Orleans Mint. The coin exhibits original mint luster. The grading label is printed in black on a white background within a gold-colored border. It reads 1884 O S$1 above the grade MS 63. Below the grade is a certification number 1987091-020. The label is marked NUMISMATIC GUARANTY CORPORATION along the bottom edge. The reverse of the slab features a metallic silver-colored foil label with the NGC scales logo and text reading NGC Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, followed by The Official Grading Service of the ANA & PNG. Two circular logos for the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and the Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) are also present on the reverse foil label.
