Bidspirit auction | 3 Dovetail Seam Copper Saucepans

3 Dovetail Seam Copper Saucepans - A set of three graduated nesting saucepans constructed of heavy-gauge copper. Each pan features a cylindrical body with a flat base joined to the side walls using a traditional cramp or dovetail seam, characterized by a visible notched pattern of brass brazing around the lower perimeter. The pans are equipped with long, flat copper handles secured to the bodies by three large copper rivets in a triangular arrangement. The interiors are lined with a grey metallic material, likely tin, applied by hand. The undersides of the pans feature impressed markings in the center of the base; in the smallest pan, these consist of a series of faint, small characters arranged in a circular pattern, but the characters are not legible as a name or specific words. The medium pan also bears indistinct impressed markings to the center of the base that are not readable. Large Pan: Diameter: 10.5 inches Height: 6.25 inches Medium Pan: Diameter: 8.25 inches Height: 5.5 inches Small Pan: Diameter: 6.5 inches Height: 4.25 inches.
