An 8 lb Cast Iron Shot Put - A solid iron shot put of spherical form, characterized by a heavily oxidized and pitted surface. The body features impressed characters reading 8 LB, signifying its weight in pounds. Vestiges of red pigment are visible beneath the surface corrosion across several areas of the sphere. Affixed to the surface is a fragmentary piece of blue adhesive painter's tape printed with green text reading Edge-Lock, through which a length of white string is looped. The overall texture is coarse and irregular due to advanced surface oxidation.Measurements/notes: 4 in. round.
