Amethyst Geode Skull Sculpture - A hand-carved stone sculpture fashioned from a natural amethyst geode in the form of a human skull. The object is worked from a geode nodule, retaining the natural, rounded, and weathered brown exterior of the host rock on the posterior and lateral surfaces. The anterior portion is carved into a stylized cranium featuring recessed orbital sockets, a nasal cavity, and a jawline with incised vertical lines representing teeth. The superior aspect of the skull is open, revealing a hollow geode interior lined with a druzy crystalline structure of amethyst points in varying shades of translucent purple and smoky gray. No maker marks or signatures are present on the piece.Measurements/notes: 4 in. H x 4 in. L.
