Chinese Lacquer Panel w/ MoP & - A rectangular Chinese wall panel constructed of wood with a black lacquer finish. The central composition features a high-relief scene depicting two female figures dressed in traditional hanfu robes. One figure carries a rounded fan while the second figure holds an elongated tray. The figures are rendered using carved mother of pearl and soapstone insets. The surrounding landscape includes a pagoda, mountain peaks, and trees represented with gold-painted outlines and highlights. Flowering plants with mother of pearl blossoms emerge from a rock formation at the bottom. A wide decorative border frames the scene, consisting of a gilt geometric trellis pattern interspersed with floral scrollwork at the center of each side. A small, circular gold-toned adhesive label is present in the upper right corner of the reverse, though no text is legible on its surface.
