United Metal Goods Schweppes Wall Clock - A vintage American electric advertising wall clock produced by the United Metal Goods Manufacturing Company of Brooklyn, New York. The clock features an octagonal wooden case that transitions into a lower rectangular drop-trunk section. The white dial is set with black Roman numerals and black spade-style hands. The brand name SCHWEPPES is printed in an arched serif font above the word MIXERS in block capitals, with the phrase Famous since 1794 appearing in script below the center arbor. A glass window in the lower section is decorated with a black and gold scrolling foliate border, revealing a brass-toned pendulum. The reverse of the clock features a gold-toned rectangular adhesive label printed with the following text: USE ON AC CURRENT, 60 CYCLES - 115 VOLTS, APPROVED ELECTRIC, UNITED METAL GOODS MFG. CO., BROOKLYN N.Y., MODEL NO. 597, and MADE IN U.S.A., along with a UL certification mark.
